Technical Project Manager - Web App Focus

The role of this Technical Project Manager is to develop, own and maintain a technology roadmap project plan, which outlines project tasks, milestone dates, status, and allocation of resources to stakeholders and other interested parties.

Responsibilities will include clear project scoping and defining and quantifying each individual step, establishing concrete deadlines for each project milestone and deliverable, and to deliver projects on time and within budget.

To this end, the right individual have must have a demonstrated ability to anticipate problems and to find resolutions before that problem can derail a major milestone or deliverable and potentially impact the profit of loss on the project.

The technical project manager will have at least:
•A bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), computer science, or a related engineering field.
•One or more certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMI / PMP) that demonstrate understanding of the fundamentals of project management, knowledge of the terminology, and processes of effective project management.
•Demonstrated technical expertise and ability to manage complex web and app projects from conception through completion
•Proper skills and experience to manage a team of back-end, front-end, and full-stack web developers to ensure maximum productivity and development velocity to meet project deadlines.
•Proven capability of project scoping, estimating, planning and scheduling.
•Superior communications skills and the ability to mediate disputes, as well as resolve scheduling and resource utilization conflicts.
•Demonstrated ability to gather and write business requirements relating to Statements of Work (SOW), Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirements Documents (FRD).
•The understanding of basic fundamentals of iterative development with a focus on product delivery
•Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and project management methodology
•Experience managing website and/or mobility development projects
•3+ years of technical project management experience in a complex digital experience environment consisting of writing to multiple third-party API’s

Duties:•Plan, scope and coordinate project plans, goals and milestones and make project assignments to developers based on their skill set (front, back, full).
•Create technical documentation for the Development Team to follow and report on project progress.
•Adhere to budgets and keep projects on track for successful completion within specification to ensure profitability.
•Full responsibility for project execution, including ongoing management of risks/issues/change control, communication, and reporting.
•Build strong working relationships within IT and other departments
•Partner with internal Product Owners and Operations and Marketing teams to work through scheduling, issues, and analysis.
•Communicate with clarity and timeliness across all levels of the organization and with clients.
•Multi-task between projects with shifting priorities.

Qualifications:•Deep experience and understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies and how / when to apply them
•Scrum Master Certification desired (Agile)
•Business Analysis Certification desired
•Experience modeling and estimating schedules and costs for projects
•Experience with collecting and communicating scope
•Comfortable with change and rapid iterations
•3 years of project management or related client delivery experience
•Familiarity with Atlassian (Jira/Confluence)
•Familiarity with Project Management software
•Excellent presentation and meeting management skills
•Provide hands on program management during software analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases
•Maintain relevant metrics that help the team and management follow progress
•Experience delivering software products
•Travel Industry expertise a plus
