Full Stack Web Developer

Description:Montrose Travel is now part of CTM (Corporate Travel Management, ASX:CTD), one of the world’s largest travel companies with over $3.5 billion in sales. The Montrose, California-based office – site of the company’s North America Leisure and Loyalty Travel headquarters is seeking an experienced Back-End PHP Developer.

We are looking for someone who can jump in and get going quickly. This position requires excellent communication, teamwork and organizational skills. We work closely with nationally recognized financial institutions, large organizations and major Credit Unions.
Qualifications:• Strong knowledge of PHP 5, SOLID (object-oriented design), Object-relational mapping and LAMP stacks.
• Good understanding and experience of MVC Frameworks, preferably Laravel, Lumen and ZendFramework.
• Basic understanding of best practices for security while coding. Experience using GIT or another repository for storing and coordinating code changes.
• Strong MySQL knowledge (table design, complex query creation, best practices).
• Experience or knowledge on database design, scaling and replication for large-scale use.
• Strong Ajax, jQuery, Javascript, CSS and HTML coding skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, motivation and passion to take an assignment from beginning to end and get it done right and in a timely manner.
• Experience and understanding of Redis is a plus.

Additional Skills:

• Familiarity with Angular.js, Ember.js, and Node.js
• Familiarity with coding standards (i.e. PSR-1/PSR-2 or PEAR)
• Familiarity with PHP unit testing.
• Continuous Integration experience with scalable web sites.
